Intensive and long-term care
The BalthasarMobil team has been caring for and supporting children and young people for many years as part of so-called out-of-hospital, home-based intensive care. The seriously ill children are often dependent on care and support for many years and the BalthasarMobil staff accompany them on this journey. A permanent team of paediatric nurses and carers looks after the young patients and ensures that they receive the best possible care. Thanks to their many years of experience and regular training, the staff have no problem handling ventilation, administering oxygen and supplying catheters, probes and tracheostomy tubes (tracheotomy).
And everyone works together towards one goal: to live at home with their own family despite their handicap and aids - because that's the best place to be!
Palliative care
The staff at BalthasarMobil are also on hand to support children and families in the last phase of their lives. With a great deal of knowledge, experience and, above all, empathy and closeness, they accompany and care for the children and young people in their last phase of life, alleviate painful symptoms and enable them to say goodbye with dignity in their familiar, home environment.
Kindergarten or school support
Inclusion of seriously ill children also means enabling them to attend kindergarten or school. BalthasarMobil employees also provide support here. During school, kindergarten or other daily activities, they carry out the necessary treatment and care activities, thus supporting and promoting participation in community life.
The home care and nursing of "intensive care children" often brings with it many questions and problems for the family. So it's good to have the experienced colleagues from BalthasarMobil on hand to help and advise families. The BalthasarMobil team is at the family's side, whether for very practical, care-related matters or questions about applications and appeals.
Families also have a legal right to "care counselling". As an experienced provider of home paediatric nursing care in the region, BalthasarMobil and its specially trained staff can also provide this service and support all those involved with questions about care processes, care techniques, relief options and social benefit entitlements.
