Saying goodbye at "Balthasar"
Saying goodbye at "Balthasar"
Life and laughter, dying and mourning are closer together at "Balthasar" than in almost any other place. We want to create wonderful moments together and also be a support for our families in times of grief. During the last phase of the children's and young people's lives, they have the opportunity to stay in the house for an unlimited period of time. After the death of the child, relatives can say their goodbyes in peace - in a farewell area that the families can personalise.
The Greisinger family also said goodbye to their son at "Balthasar". Paul died in 2023 at the age of 12. Before that, he and his family had been guests at the Balthasar Children's and Youth Hospice on and off for five years. In the video, his parents and siblings share with us how they experienced saying goodbye at "Balthasar".
